Slab Serif
An abrupt or adnate serif of the same thickness as the main stroke. Slab serifs are a hallmark of the Egyptian and Clarendon types, two groups of realist typefaces produced in substantial numbers since the early nineteenth century. Memphis, Rockwell, and Serifa are examples. |
