Goudy Italic

A typeface designed by Frederic Goudy in 1921. Goudy drew the typeface to accompany Goudy Roman, but it never proceeded beyond drawings, which were destroyed in the 1939 fire. For an attempt at a digital revival, see Gouda Italic (2018) by Michael Vokits.
