Truesdell
A typeface designed by Frederic Goudy in 1930. Mac McGrew: Truesdell and Italic were designed and cut by Frederic W. Goudy in 1930-1931, for setting a prefatory note he had written to an article to appear in "The Colophon." The article itself was set in Goudy's Mediaeval. Truesdell was his mother's maiden name. Digital revivals include Truesdell (1994, Steve Matteson for Monotype). |
