ABOUT

Le Monde [Jean-François Porchez]

Character set for the typeface used by Le Monde and designed by Jean-François Porchez in less than three months. It was used by Le Monde from 1994 until 2005. In 2002, the headlines were replaced by a typeface designed by Lucas De Groot (but Porchez did not like that) and in 2005, finally, the text typeface was replaced by Carter's Fenway, done earlier for Sports Illustrated.
