Mike R. Stevens Designer and old-timer in the signpainting business in San Jose, CA, who influenced sign layout in a big way. Mike Stevens died of a heart attack in 1989 at the age of 46. At the SignDNA foundry, we find reincarantions of many of his alphabets, such as Magic, Stix (art deco), Happy Script, Master, ArRoyo, Tahoe, Staton, BigSur, DuVall, BigRed, BigMedicine, Tenor, Phoenix, Vasona.
