 Author of Alphabet Album Collection de soixante feuilles d'alphabets historiques et fleurons (Paris, 1843). Creator of an alphabet in 1834 in which each letter consists of human figures. See also here. The alphabet is referred to as the Silvestre-Girault alphabet, because it was etched by Girault. A digitization by Character (2006) is called SilvestreBodies. |
