Giovannino dei Grassi
Medieval miniaturist and painter, who died in 1398, probably in Milan. He was one of the first ones to show (painted) letters of an alphabet containing drawings of birds, animals and ladies (around 1390). This alphabet is known as The Bergamo Alphabet. Wikipedia link.
